Never be afraid to get dirty, but be sufficiently sure-footed to avoid the abyss of contamination.

Dynamic Equilibrium

Don’t mix metaphors and drive.

Top of the hill. The static equilibrium is unstable, uncomfortable. The only way is down. The ball rolls down the hill, taking down sign posts as it goes. The mail carrier jumps out of the way to avoid an untoward event. After the sign-post-generated bruises, the thrill-seeking ball, which is continuing on this roller coaster ride, realizes it has lost control of where it’s going. Where’s the driver? Quick, quick! New Year’s Resolutions! Follow through. Somehow, they provide support, but unforeseen perturbations push the ball in a new direction, off the tracks. Things still move, with moments of discomfort, like a roller coaster, but nevertheless, they are slowly becoming more comfortable, more stable.
