I call it quits at 2 PM, come home, and crash almost immediately. My head lands on the pillow. I dream.
We push each other to realize our dreams. The challenges and obstacles feel that much smaller because we believe in each other. It’s rare; it’s beautiful. Our dreams may take us away from each other, but it’s only temporary. In the meantime, we make new friends, grow in ways we never imagined, and stay in touch. Our friendship remains strong.
We awaken to a reality in which we are reunited, invigorated, and confident. We make plans to conquer the world together. It takes ten years, but we succeed! The world rejoices! People are happy.
It’s not surprising. We already work so well together, and time only improves that synergy. Our children grow up hearing stories of what their parents accomplished. They are inspired.
People are unhappy. It bothers our children. They strive to make the world a better place. They push themselves and befriend people who help them follow their dreams. The cycle repeats itself.
I wake up. I’m tempted to go back to sleep, but instead I go to my computer and start working on my new pet project. It compiles. That’s a good start!
